2010年9月15日，中國http://www.stonebuy.com石材http://www.stonebuy.com/協會和南安http://www.shicai.com.cn/市人民政府在福建http://www.zongyi.com.cn/省南安http://www.shicai.com.cn/市共同組織召開了福建http://www.zongyi.com.cn/石材http://www.stonebuy.com/工程學院（暫定名）出資人會議，環球石材http://www.stonebuy.com/集團、康利石材http://www.stonebuy.com/集團、萬隆集團、東升石業公司、華輝石業公司、東星集團、新鵬飛實業公司、英良石材http://www.stonebuy.com/集團、惠泉美居投資公司、順發實業公司和宏星石材http://www.stonebuy.com/公司等11家出資企業http://www.stonebuy.com/enterprise/共同簽署了聯合辦學協議書，成立了福建http://www.zongyi.com.cn/石材http://www.stonebuy.com/工程學院（暫定名）股東會，選舉產生了以環球石材http://www.stonebuy.com/集團總裁朱新勝為董事長的第一屆董事會。中國http://www.stonebuy.com石材http://www.stonebuy.com/協會會長鄒傳勝、副會長兼秘書長劉建華和南安http://www.shicai.com.cn/市人民政府副市長李清安、福建http://www.zongyi.com.cn/省石材http://www.stonebuy.com/協會副會長兼秘書長郭經偉等有關方面領導出席了會議，并見證了聯合辦學協議書的簽署。
　　發起籌建我國首所石材http://www.stonebuy.com/學院 ，是在我國石材http://www.stonebuy.com/行業 快速發展，后續人才相對匱乏，不能適應行業發展要求的背景下，以康利石材http://www.stonebuy.com/集團和環球石材http://www.stonebuy.com/集團為代表的大企業http://www.stonebuy.com/enterprise/紛紛向中國http://www.stonebuy.com石材http://www.stonebuy.com/協會建議，有必要組建為石材http://www.stonebuy.com/行業培養專業技術人才的學校。中國http://www.stonebuy.com石材http://www.stonebuy.com/協會對此建議非常重視，經與南安http://www.shicai.com.cn/市人民政府協商，聯合福建http://www.zongyi.com.cn/省石材http://www.stonebuy.com/協會、環球石材http://www.stonebuy.com/集團、康利石材http://www.stonebuy.com/集團，于2009年12月7日在南安http://www.shicai.com.cn/市召開了推進石材http://www.stonebuy.com/職業學校籌辦工作會議，確定由中國http://www.stonebuy.com石材http://www.stonebuy.com/協會、南安http://www.shicai.com.cn/市人民政府、福建http://www.zongyi.com.cn/省石材http://www.stonebuy.com/協會、南安http://www.shicai.com.cn/市石材http://www.stonebuy.com/協會、環球石材http://www.stonebuy.com/集團和康利石材http://www.stonebuy.com/集團等六家單位共同發起創辦石材http://www.stonebuy.com/職業學校，成立了創辦學校前期工作推進組。隨后，推進組開展了創辦學校的前期調研和籌劃，提出了創辦學校的基本思路、經濟效益分析報告和股權設置建議書。2010年6月18日，六家發起單位在南安http://www.shicai.com.cn/市再次召開推進工作會議，初步確定創辦學校定位為以培養石材http://www.stonebuy.com/行業實用型高級技術人員（技師）為主要目的，兼為現有石材http://www.stonebuy.com/企業http://www.stonebuy.com/enterprise/員工提供短期培訓的高等石材http://www.stonebuy.com/職業學校；決定首期出資6000萬元作為學校注冊資金，校址選擇在南安http://www.shicai.com.cn/市水頭http://www.shicai.com.cn/鎮。此后，經中國http://www.stonebuy.com石材http://www.stonebuy.com/協會和南安http://www.shicai.com.cn/市人民政府的精心組織，業內骨干企業http://www.stonebuy.com/enterprise/積極響應，以上11家企業http://www.stonebuy.com/enterprise/紛紛表達了出資意愿，按不同比例認購了學校籌建首期6000萬元股權，成為了福建http://www.zongyi.com.cn/石材http://www.stonebuy.com/工程學院（暫定名）股東。
　　至此，我國首所石材http://www.stonebuy.com/學院籌建工作正式啟動。這標志著我國石材http://www.stonebuy.com/行業的發展將進入一個著眼長遠、重視教育、團結合作的新階段，也將成為我國石材http://www.stonebuy.com/業發展新的里程碑。
